The Labor Party survived a scare in the Dunstan by-election to claim the eastern suburbs electorate. The government fended off a comeback from the South Australian Liberals, who conceded on Wednesday. The by-election came down to the wire as it only took 400 votes for Labor’s Cressida O'Hanlon to claim Dunstan. Liberal candidate Anna Finizio called to concede late Wednesday and congratulated her rival. Labor’s historic win is the first time a South Australian government has won a by-election from the opposition in 116 years.
